Because the LM never provided a folio I asked my ambassador for that folio but they noted that I would only get nights for one hotel or the other. So despite the stays being identical dates, I presume I am being denied because they are different properties whereas if i had two rooms in the same property the issue would not have been highlighted.
This policy is nothing new. Staying at different hotels the same night never got you points or EQN for both. Neither with Marriott nor with SPG. SPG had a few exceptions if the hotels were under the same roof and ownership but that is history.
