The current schedule is to depart Haneda at 22:50 and land at Doha at 04:40, then return again at 07:15 for a 23:55 arrival. Now they could probably shave a bit of the turn time in Doha. Then they could leave the aircraft on the ground in Doha for an additional 6 hours or so, for an early morning arrival. But fleet utilisation might not make that ideal, the aircraft tends to become JL33 to Bangkok at 01:20 after returning to Haneda.
Not sure when the schedule is changing but have been looking at a QR sold ticket that requires this flight (they've blocked 100% of married segment availability in business on QR 806 for the route). But the dates I was looking at in November, the JL flight lands at 1am. Fundamentally though that's no worse since there's still no sub-10,000 yen transportation for an 11:55pm arrival. The latest limousine busses are at midnight exactly. I've tried that NearMe guy that advertises on Facebook all the time and am determined it's a scam. They take your reservation and payment then cancel 2 days ahead of time due to lack of customers (or drivers or something like that).

I can get that same fare for $200 more and take QR as far as ICN or KUL then transfer there, it's tempting since I can arrive during hours of public transportation, so some of that $200 extra is offset by the 10,000 yen taxi fee. It's odd to me that QR has QR 806 from that POS locked while allowing QR 4850 (JL50), I wonder if that flight is underperforming quite badly because of the timing and they don't want to sell a relatively cheap ticket on the premium timed flight to NRT?

I was on one of the MH operated special QR flights in January and there were only 2 passengers in business class, the entire QR 'owned' part of the cabin was empty, both of us were on MH tickets.
