The flight to DCA is on AA. Yes they made a change to my original reservation. The one they gave me had a 6 1/2 layover at ORD which was not desirable either. I called and this is what the agent gave me.
Thats bull cookies. Unless its a very odd day, there are 7 or 8 flights a day from ORD to DCA - evenly spaced out until you get to the evening when there are 3 flights over the course of about 4 hours.
They made the schedule change. They get to re-accommodate to something you like.
