Yes, I'm aware of the costs, but my question was less about the costs and more about the logistics. I'm wondering whether it is expected that when Hertz does this billing it will be through
RentalCarTicket.com, PlatePass.com, or some other mechanism.
I've occasionally found the logistics can be a bit of an issue re paying charges on the ON-407 toll road. This can happen if the car rental is in US dollars using a credit card not widely accepted in Canada (eg Discover) or if the original credit card has expired in what can be a long delay before the ON-407 charges post (I've known it to take up to a year, albeit that was during the pandemic).
I don't want to find that, in the future, the charge didn't go through and I'm denied permission to rent again with Hertz or, worse, charged with toll evasion. So it would be good to know what logistics Hertz uses for these charges, as I think this is my first ON-407 toll charge while using Hertz. I'm familiar with the procedures for other car rental companies.
