I'm LTT, and I have no opinion on whether the door should open again. As pointed out in another post, as long as the door stays closed, the number of members holding LTT status who travel will gradually decline, due to age and death. Perhaps it is Marriott's long term strategy to eliminate LTT status and require requalifying every year for Titanium, similar to Ambassador, where there is also no lifetime status.
