The departure board in the EDI lounge keeps telling me that all-day check-in is available for BA flights, whereas at check-in today I was told that I was too early and they would not accept bags until 2.5 hrs prior to the flight. In fact, I just passed the 2.5 hr mark when I reached the front of the queue.

Does anyone from the most knowledgeable FT community know more?
