Christchurch is a lovely city. I couldn't get over the weather when I was there, as it was brilliantly sunny, a pleasant 21-22C with very low humidity. There were lots of neat little nooks and crannies to look into, small art galleries, artisan workshops and trendy cafes. The city definitely deserves a longer visit.

Glad you had a good stopover in CHC. Christchurch can be brilliant when it is sunny and nice but unfortunately it was raining when I was there and the sun did not come out until 2 hours before I was planning to leave but give me a chance to walk around and enjoy the city.
