HUCA comes in handy. Sadly, UA clearly has a technology issue here if I'm not the only one running into this issue. UA sells both first and economy segments on Hawaiian, so it shouldn't be rocket science to map fares to cabins correctly without additional customer intervention.
I don’t disagree but it’s been this way forever. I never took the time to fight it as you did, even when I was a 1K.
