I'm booking a club reward flight in August 2025 (BA 56 or 54) to Johannesburg and can see BA fly the A380 and 787. How can I find out which 787 version/can anyone tell me this? At present they are not using this aircraft.
I want to find out prior to booking as is it's a 787 with suites (787-10) I'd prefer that over the seat in A380 (but prefer quiet upper deck a380 over 787 if seats are equal!). I did want a First seat but these are impossible to find! I have lots of airmiles and a companion voucher (4 pax total).

I, and anyone else for that matter, cannot answer your specific question on which aircraft you might fly on, because so much can change in a year.
However what I would say is that of you really want to get 4 seats in J, that should take precedence over what aircraft you might be on. BA only guarantees to release a limited number of seats and there are no guarantees at all about F seats. So if you see them bag them immediately. If it is the right aircraft for you great, but if not, then at least you are in J rather than Y.
