Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the type of fare has no bearing on the upgrade amount. So pick the fare you need (for luggage, seat booking, mileage accrual if on M&M, etc) assuming you won't be successful. On the other hand, the booking class (in this case V) may influence your chances i.e. higher booking classes will have precedence.
You didn't mention if you're looking at an upgrade to premium economy or business. The minimum bid for the former is usually around CHF 130-200 and CHF 600 for the latter.
On a separate note, I would avoid booking from ZHT if only because the accrual (only possible on M&M) is pitiful.
