According to AC:
  • You can only cancel the inbound after you flew the outbound.
I have an inbound on 20 Sep that I cannot cancel (yet) now, though one agent seems to know a way to do this but I decided to wait and see.
  • Cancelling the outbound before it is flown will automatically cancel the entire booking
I have another outbound on 22 Sep, but I need to keep the return on 19 Oct. If the 22 Sep is affected, then I will need to figure something out with AC.
