Currently on a trip to the Caribbean and want to see about extending our points stay 2 additional nights, which would give us the 5th night free. When I called the Elite line they informed me they would have to make an entire new reservation which would mean that was not possible.....anyone have any suggestions or loopholes in how to fix this?

The hotel has been SUPER helpful but they cannot do anything in regards to point stays.
