Baggage Allowance when booked through BA

Hi,

Hopefully someone might know the answer here. I booked an Aer Lingus flight (MAN – DUB) through BA and on the confirmation email it says I have a 23kg checked baggage allowance and to check the Aer Lingus site for hand baggage.

Flights Hand baggage Checked baggage
Manchester to Dublin** View your Aer Lingus allowance 1 bags at 23kg (51lbs)

when I log in to BA it says:
1 × checked-in bag (weight restrictions may apply)
Check Aer Lingus hand baggage allowance

when I log in to Aer Lingus it says:
10kg bag dropped off at check-in
No checked bag (20kg or more)

It would be helpful to know what I can take as I have another Aer Lingus flight in business from DUB so want to maximise what I can take. I have tried getting in touch with Aer Lingus but I can only seem to get through to their chatbot which just spits out the standard responses.

I am also hoping that whatever my checked allowance is, I can still take a small carry on (small backpack – free Ryanair sized) with me?

Thanks
