SK boarding pass printed by AC had no gate information on it. Luggage was checked through. Presumably, though, since KL is now the designated lounge, one would think that T3 is the location of the gate (and T1-T3 is not a sterile transit)

Transborder CR9s typically do not have jetways, so we trudge the entire length of the ground-level gates and the jetway gates, to be faced with the flight not listed on the T1 screens (it was 4.5 hours before flight time, so that was understandable. With the lounge situation over in T3, we presume that we need to proceed there; so do immigration and walk through customs and take the train over to T3...

To find the flight not listed. AFKL is no help (big shrug of the shoulders). Going through security we were called back when the scan said "no"....and did have a gate listed back in T1. So we trudge back there to the checkin position to be given new boarding passes, be told "no lounge access", and told that we'd have a "bus" gate.

Head down to the "bus" gate to find a low-floor COBUS pretty full already. About 5 minutes later we head off---to a satellite terminal I never realized existed (gates 520-530) past both T1 and T3 and under the main runways. A 10-15 minute drive to find a weird charter-like terminal (Sunwing seemed to be the main user, but TAP, Avianca and Turkish were also noted there). Got off the bus into a small, minimally equipped terminal with a Starbucks, a limited duty free store, Subway vending machine and not much else.

Long story to say---not sure how long SK is going to bother with YYZ if this is the best they can do. The narrow body was fine (lovely flight crew, business class was nice) but woof--what a kludge.
SK (among others) have been at the infield terminal at YYZ for a while and will be until their summer schedule ends in a couple weeks. Presumably they will be at T3 once they start flying to YYZ again in 2025 though the infield terminal is accessible to both T1 and T3 passengers (via bus).
