Yes have seen nonstops several times over the past few years. Often they pop up when US summer/AUS winter flights are undersold. But very difficult to reserve for US winter holidays. That said the past 2 years I was able to snag 4 seats one-way to/from Australia. Unfortunately I was never able to find saver seats for the corresponding outbound/return so I had to release them.

The best course is to purchase an award service to scan for the flights and be flexible in terms of origin and destination on both sides of the pacific, and include NZ. Also easier to snag 1-2 seats per flight than for a larger family (consider splitting up).
