Pretty much dissapointed about SkyTeam...

Network: As someone based in CPH, I do have some trips to Bulgaria and Hungary and I would have loved better network coverage to Eastern Europe. Unfortunatelly both locations are better served by *A. Other than that I fly mostly to Houston, Rio de Janeiro, Kuala Lumpur, Aberdeen, Bergen, Stavanger, Al Khobar, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha. As a whole these destinations are better served by *A or actually SAS itself or Etihad are really good with some of them. The only location where SkyTeam seems to be superior is Rio de Janeiro. The return from there to Europe is actually really tough for me. But as a whole.. the options have become significantly limited
Alliance perks and recognition: The lounge network is smaller and access looks sketchy at best. I struggle to understand the alliance rules and which lounges are available for STE+. I guess I will learn. On the flipside EBS gets more as Sky Team Elite rather than Star Silver - but when you are gold, this doesnt matter.

I guess SAS did not have a choice really, but the transition seems to be a downgrade, rather than an upgrade. I did a status match with LH, and their challenge I will complete later this month. However, from next year I will try to gun for TK or A3 *G status.
