Since both BA and QR upgrades and impacts to EQM are being discussed....

Recent experiences have had me pay for a QSuite upgrade SEA-DOH (no price NOT worth it on a 14.5 hour flight) and BA Business LHR-DEL.

QR upgrades do not result in re-ticketing and QR doesn't report the miles at business rate to AS. Booooo.....
BA does re-ticket and reports the updated fare class to AS, which meant that I recenly got 150% EQMs vs. 25%. Yay!
