I recall that Cathay and JAL (the 2 airlines I fly to Asia) used to have Vietnamese-speaking flight attendant on board their flights to Hanoi or Saigon.
About 10 years ago, I spoke Vietnamese with a Cathay flight attendant on one of my trips.
