I waited in the hope of seeing a cat or dog using this machine at Takamatsu station but it was late so I struck out.
I have a photo of a normal JP vending machine which would randomly meow when dispensing drinks. I was waiting for an infrequent bus nearby so got to see others using it (yes, I did watch it to rule out a real cat when I first heard it meow). Had my partner been with me, I think it would have extracted more money from us than most gachapons.
