SLC is not considered a West Coast market and gets meals in coach -- as do the MSP, DTW, JFK, and ATL flights to Hawaii (they are all flown with widebody equipment with D1 cabins which are marketed as D1, and may or may not have PS cabins as DL still has some widebody equipment without PS cabins).
Thanks ! this is good to know .. so West Coast flights to/from HNL are food for purchase only whereas others get meals
Regarding the seat map ... all the rows with 6 across were already booked (which are actually Premium Select seats sold as C+) ... so we were automatically booked into Main Cabin Y in a 7 across row ... albeit the first row / bulkhead row ...
Anyways thanks for the assistance ... will try to determine if there is anything we can bring as snacks that wont violate the agricultural limitations at customs
