OK, getting the request with the agent right may be very important here. I suggest you ask for the specific return flight you want first. Only once that is stated as available and can be added to the outbound, should you then tell the agent you have a 241 that you want applied to that return. If you do it the other way around you risk ‘computer says no’ straight away. Still high chance it won’t work anyway, but you never know!
Thank you for the advice! I will def approach it this way. I do want the companion voucher applied to the entire booking but I can see the problem. I recently had issues with a reward ticket so I’m very nervous anyway. If any other seats had been available I would be happy to
cancel and make a new booking but sod’s law there’s nothing.
