Hotel is more in a neighborhood, maybe 100m walk from the subway entrance. There's also a light rail train that goes right by the hotel. Grocery store across the street, quite a few restaurants within walking distance. 600m from a ton of trails on the waterfront that were great for going for a run. Close to the Bromma airport if you are looking for intercity flights in Sweden. Breakfast is similar to what was written above. Pretty good but same every day.

Thanks for that summary.

Distance-wise, did it feel it too far from central Stockholm (or the relevant tourist parts of Stockholm) to be used as a base?

But if you kind of drag your feet, hit breakfast right before it closes, and maybe have some jet lag issues then factoring in travel time to get to town then yeah it's going to be a bit constricting. Also, not like you can just pop back to the room for a nap, you're pretty much done for the day. I'd say it probably depends on how long you are looking at staying...if it's just 2-3 days probably not worth it. If it's 5 or so, then yeah you could for sure make it work. I didn't feel like I missed doing anything in town. If you have status they do treat you good. I think I had a 100 kr gift card to use at the bar/restaurant downstairs and they put me on the very top floor of the hotel which only had two rooms on that level.
I have now stayed here (Signalfabriken) myself and can offer an additional data point. For the most part, I agree with everything you said.
While it's close to a subway station, it's really not the same as being in the middle of it all. (For one, you have to cross underneath some railroad tracks between the hotel and the subway, which can be cumbersome with luggage.) Could be alright for some people.
I was also put on the very top floor and amused at the unexpectedly small floor plate (which consisted of two regular-size rooms, two stairwells, and one elevator--it was more corridor and than rooms).
The proximity to BMA is interesting--might be a good waypoint for very early flights from Bromma.
I thought the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast average. Room was just fine, but the lighting was more form-than-function. Overall, a neutral experience.
