On BA, CPAP devices can be carried as additional to the checked allowance and without charge. And same for cabin baggage, so no issue there. The advice is to carry a letter from a clinician explaining what the device is and why it is needed, but any airport that gets a lot of USA visitors will be used to seeing CPAPs and you are unlikely to be asked for it.
