I have a flight tomorrow leaving from Concourse L. Usually when in ORD, I'm at the H/K Admiral's Club, and I find it to be a pretty good one. While I know the one in L is smaller, does it typically have the same food options as H/K? Any differences beyond size to be aware of?

Sitting in the H/K Lounge right now, and given the, well, compact nature of the offerings I doubt there could be much difference. Not saying it’s bad, but it is exactly what you’d expect these days.
As you note, the space is very pleasant in the H/K Lounge and helps make it feel less crowded.
