I’d not get your hopes up. The refit will roll out, and like all such things may experience delays/problems in schedule.

Assuming a few airframes are in service by March, then it isn't clear to me what routes AirNZ will want to deploy these on. My wild guess is they view placement on high value routes such at New York, and possibly Narita. When they launch the refitted aircraft they’ll want to provide the experience consistently to those destinations. I doubt YVR will be top of the list for launch destinations.
