The BA check-in agents at GLA should be able to assign seats and issue boarding cards for the LHR-BKK flight also. If unable to do it, you approach a Thai Airways transfer desk at LHR or go to the gate for your Thai Airways flight.

You will need to change terminal from T5 to T2 at LHR but that is no issue; just follow the signs.
