AT ORD T5 almost every departure gate has an electronic sign encouraging to sign up for the MPC app to help expedite your arrival back. There's also a dedicated arrivals line in the FIS for MPC.
Three months ago, upon arrival from NRT at ORD T5, the airport wi-fi didn't reach down to the Federal Inspection Station (FIS).
As I was in the MPC line, I was really worried. However, the agent just looked at my passport and let me through.
I no longer recall if he asked me whether I had anything you declare, but I didn't, and had only a carry-on bag.
