It is quite known that most Y pax are 99% focused on price. Price and travel time are the biggest factor and people hardly look at what will be offered.
This explains why Y keeps getting worse and better offerings are developed in segments above.
And extra baggage allowance is a gold mine for airlines and passengers with 2+ pieces of luggages usually do it because they don’t have a choice.. not for the fun of travelling heavy.
