Happy Friday everybody. How time flies, for some reason I thought it was Thursday! Talking of Thursday, yesterday's job was to go out for a short walk (did about 3 1/2 miles) to test my new ‘waterproof’ walking shoes. I can confirm they passed the test, however the rest of me did not so I got home soaked.

Today the weather is even worse with such torrential rain that I could not even venture a few feet from the house to the garage to get some stuff I needed this morning. Fortunately it receded a bit so I am now happily (well…) painting a room ready for some new furniture arriving.

Next week is all about prepping the car and packing to go down to Northern Spain via the Ferry for a road trip in the Rioja and other wine regions.
