I did several TPAC RTs recently and DL seemed to rolled out another change on main cabin meals around 9/1/2024 since the changes from early this year. They finally took away that "table cloth" and that super thick "napkin". Both are super wasteful and I used to think the napkin is like a Swiffer Sweeper wipe. For years, I actually kept it and used it to wipe my luggage before putting the luggage on hotel beds. Also, bamboo utensils are out and replaced with wooden ones. It's a bit sturdier but the shape is really odd. DL went bipolar on the napkin, now, it's this super small and thin paper napkin that wasn't enough to even sustain the eating process, so forget about if you need to wipe a small liquid spill. I just don't understand how they swung from extreme wasteful to now "Scott toilet paper" quality and thickness.

I will say that they have adjusted the meal quantity. Mid-flight is now a hot sandwich or pocket, instead of a tiny tiny chocolate cookie. Pre-landing meal have two changes: 1) yogurt is upgraded to half-size Chobani instead of the sugar-bomb from Upstate; and 2) they serve a main entree or a substantial hot sandwich, no longer that awful cardboard egg-muffin thing. After the never-ending downgrades in food, I think they have finally hit the right balance.

Now if they can just fix 2 things:
1) slightly larger napkin
2) bring back the bottle water
