M&S food is quite frankly revolting. Highly processed rubbish though I take the actual point you made.
If you want decent food then avoid air travel. Without denigrating any staff (whose primary responsibility is not food and drink service) they have no culinary training, and there is no cooking involved. It’s merely heating up already prepared food which is always going to result in distinctly average meals.
