Stayed here recently and asked about the cost to upgrade to club access and was quoted a price of 35,000 yen, which I did not consider unreasonable for two people. But, since we planned to be outside the hotel most of the time during our two-day stay, I decided against the upgrade and instead used 5,000 yen of the 70,000 yen saved to buy a nice bottle of champagne that we enjoyed in our Ohori Park view room. Since one of the days of our stay fell on a Thursday, we received an invitation to a weekly Sunset Cocktail hour that is apparently held every Thursday for Platinum and above Bonvoy members. This is the first time I'd ever heard of it, so I look forward to future Thursday stays. It is held in the Bay Bar, which has outdoor seating and an excellent view. Even had a chance to meet and talk with the hotel GM there. The cocktails and mocktails were all attractive and flavorful. To top off my stay, a stunning Aston Martin (the 007 car) was parked in the hotel entranceway parking area, where all the trophy cars are parked for guests to see.
