I tried to find more information on here but seemed it wasn't answering my questions specifically.I am new to FlyerTalk but I've been staying at Marriotts for 2 years now, I never invited a friend however. But now i received an email with a nice offer for up to 50,000 points for 5 friends

I am curious to know how the referral program works. I hope you can help me with the answers if you have already gone through the referral process.

So my questions are:

• Is this referral program only during a promotional period or the referral program is always there? (do I need to rush and invite friends or it's always there and don't need to rush?)
• Does my friend have to do their 5 stays within the calendar year I invite them in, or I can invite them in September 2024 and they can be having stays from September 2024 and completing their 5th and final stay in February 2025 and are we still both going to get the 10,000 points bonus?
• Do my referrals reset with the new calendar year? So I can invite 2 friends until the end of this year and then another 5 more in the new 2025? And all of them can be earning me bonus points? Or is it 5 friends and that's it for life regardless of what calendar year I refer them to the Marriott program?
