RIP energy and mining flight passes.
I just went to send the link to the Ontario mining pass and couldn't find it. What a shame - the flexibility of that flight pass was basically the only reason I stuck with AC for my trips to YQT despite PD being more frequent and reliable. There is an "Ontario (Regional)" pass, but the cost per flight is $10 more in Standard and $110 more in Flex compared to the Flex price of the old mining pass.
Looks like I'll be flying more on PD next year. Oh well. They're bringing the E2s to YQT this fall, and the Aspire lounge at YTZ is miles ahead of anything at YYZ.
Just one more example of AC screwing over northern Ontario.
