Thanks - given I land in MAA 3am this morning and have a full day, I certainly don't want to end up in Y as I'll be needing a good sleep on the next flight and I have plans at my final destination on Saturday.

Is it reasonable to have them route me on Thai via BKK or SQ via SIN if they've oversold and would they do that?
