There are plenty of 'em on eBay. Or google (or froogle) the words "unlocked GSM phone" (with or without the quotes) and you'll find a bunch of stores selling 'em. With an unlocked GSM phone, when you travel internationally just about anywhere other than Japan or Korea, you can just buy a SIM card when you arrive and instantly have a local number (and pay local rates) in whatever country you're in.
