than a ‘Pot Noodle’; I imagine the same would apply for most Club travellers. Should we have to set our expectations that low when paying for Club, no, of course not, but in this case it is what it is (or was).

Club World catering is what it is. Sometimes good, mostly fine, sometimes terrible (or often if one is flying from South Africa) but basically palatable.

If you are seriously thinking about ordering a Pot Noodle or a child’s chicken-and-pasta meal why not just ask for leftovers from T+ or WT. Or pick up a snack box from one of the restaurants at the Terminal; or - shock move - have a decent lunch in town and take advantage of the flat bed and forget about the tucker.
because there was nothing left apparently on this occasion. I didn’t fancy the horrid red snapper on a 8.50am flight (shock) and don’t eat aubergine which was the main feature of the veggie main. My meal was ordered and then cancelled, not just not chosen. No chance to get out in town with a 4.30am trip over to the airport.
