What I gather from this is that AC releases significantly more inventory to its own Aeroplan program than it releases to UA's MP program. This is true even when during the non-peak periods when you could buy a Y-class transaction for 15,000 Aeroplan miles while nothing is available to purchase under UA MP at any price.
I cannot stop noticing the apparent huge difference between AC and LH availability, both of whom are UA partners of equal status (at least in theory). LH maintains decent award availability for UA MP, while the AC availability has completely dried out. I suppose because AC has a quasi-monopoly in its market, they don't really care.
