I am thinking of flying for the first time with AY long-haul J in autumn 2025. I understand fares go on sale a year in advance and will be looking at possible tickets from the end of September/early October. This would be for Southern Africa with code-share on QR for the second leg.

Are there any specific times of the year when I should book with AY? I know for example that BA usually does a Thanksgiving sale and a December sale, so I have often waited for those times of year to book; there is also a late summer fare ending imminently.

Is AY similar? Or would you just recommend I book as soon as possible?
