How about the point that the cost of air travel is
down 71% after inflation over the past 9 years. What else can you say that about (other than perhaps electronic devices).
Labor and fuel are significantly more expensive, airlines must find other ways to increase revenue to compete. For example, AA now makes most of its profits on the Advantage Program rather than operations.
