So unless you had no use within the next 5 years for the voucher you would have received - meaning that effectively you would receive no value at all as the voucher in the full amount would have just expired unused - I don't think that's a win.
I told him to go ahead and cancel the ticket. I told him I didn’t want the cash refund and that I still wanted to wait for the voucher refund. I just find it astonishing that agents were completely inconsistent on what types of refunds I could pursue and whether they could cancel my original booking.
