1. Provide the ability to combine reward/paid itineraries for BF mileage upgrade opportunites. For example, I can purchase a ticket EWR-OGG, and claim award seats on the same flight - I can standby the award seats for BF when released - I can standby ($$+miles) for an upgrade on the purchased ticket - but I cannot coordinate these.
2. Extend the ability to select alternate flights/routings when checking in to OLCI. There are times I'd be happy to take an earlier flight than booked if upgrades are available - I just don't want to spend the day at the airport if it doesn't work out.
3. Waive change fees on fare class increases purchased within 24 hours of the ticket purchase - allow people forced to use company travel agents the opportunity to buy-up to a higher fare class w/o penalty.
4. Allow on-line seat selection for all segments of a "direct" flight.
5. Find a non-cash upgrade option for BusinessFirst. If I can get an award seat for some number of miles, I should be able to get one for some lesser number of miles as an upgrade to a paid ticket. Alternatively, provide EQM for reward travel (but no mileage accrual).
6. Provide the ability to link PNR's of reward and non-reward tickets. Also, perhaps the IT gurus can make it possible to try to keep people together when there are equipment changes - at least keep minors with a parent.
7. Provide email alerts on any PNR change - seat, etc. As it is, I find I need to check periodically to make sure things haven't changed without my knowledge.
8. Know that these are all meant to be constructive suggestions. I still believe that CO is all-around much better than the competition especially when it comes to dealing with customers. I would much rather know that ther e is someone empowered to fix things when they go wrong, then have any of the items 1-7.
