This is a bummer, was keeping my fingers crossed we could do this, especially because my MIL recently had double knee surgery so it takes her a little bit longer to get places.
Another question comes to mind, when is the bar open? Is it open once they hit cruising altitude and stay open or does it have a schedule?
The crew will start to set up the bar once your are at cruising altitude. Give them 15 or 20 minutes to do that. It usually stays open for the entire flight. At least that is my experience which does not include ex USA flights.
