Must have been one helluva long term contract signed back in the day as BA stepped away from franchising and even threw Loganair into a period of uncertainty when they wouldn't renew a UK based operator that could actually feed BA flights.
It was UK franchises they seemed to object to. Stuff that didn't touch the UK (so Comair and (most of) Sun Air) didn't seem to be such a problem.
