With a quick search, I have not seen obvious reports of same here, so I will ask:

Do BA have any history of offering a larger amount in BA credit (versus the due amount in cash) for a covered case? I have seen reports for other (non-EC261) delays, and wondered if there is any precedent here. I did include a note to that effect in my claim.

We have a BAH package with an outstanding balance, so would happily apply a larger credit compensation toward that, if allowed. Added to that the potential complications (and possible costs) for getting the money from BA in GBP and converting to USD for our US bank accounts, there would be advantage to keeping the money in GBP and applying as such to the package.

BTW, since the booking is wx-US, it us priced in USD, but I figure that having BA do handle this would yield a better conversion than having my bank deal with actual funds, above and beyond any higher amount offered in credit.

Cheers.
