I think this is the right thread to ask for some assistance/advice.

We purchased business class tickets (I fare class) in Jan 24' for Sep 24' ORD->DUB. I noticed yesterday that our seats were no longer assigned (just for the one leg) and the equipment changed from a 789 to 788. With that, there are now significantly less business class seats and all are showing as sold. When looked at the AA website it says "Please check back or we’ll assign seats at the airport. We’ll try to assign seats together, but if availability is limited, your party may be seated apart."

I chatted with AA yesterday and their response was "you are confirmed in First/Business, but regarding the seat, please confirm at the airport." They said we aren't going to be bumped back to PE or E, we just might not be seated together in J. They mentioned there is nothing else they or we can do except wait till we get to the airport but she is showing seats on our account though they are unconfirmed.. We are worried we will be bumped since we have no status with AA. Any advice/tips/experiences with something like this?
