I got a question on this one, after a diverted flight, how does the point situation look like? Do they accumulate in the same was as if the flight took place without disruptions?

When it comes to diversions I can think of 2 general situations / scenarios:
- Situation 1: You flew MAN-FRA and diverted to different airport (i.e. BHX), does it accumulate as MAN-FRA or MAN-BHX?
- Situation 2: You flew MAN-FRA and diverted back to FRA, does it accumulate as MAN-FRA or as if no flight took place?
