Please be aware, even with the companion award, the fees are extremly high right now. You have to really crunch the numbers. Flights from germany to america are like 1000€ each on fees plus the miles. So hardly a deal anymore, despite the 50% Bundle on top of the 50% companion. LH really is making it hard with their fantasy style fees.
Maybe asia is still something to have a look at, but probably not for long.
