Back in the day, Shook held KL's best lavish Sunday Brunch with free-flow Champagne and a huge variety of live food stations. It was packed every week and competition was fierce then from the Westin's Bubbelicious brunch and the RC's with many smaller free-flow brunches at restaurants dotted around the central KL but we always preferred Shook and one day they were still serving us one last drink at 5pm to get rid of us. The Westin went off the boil first and I was back in KL a few months ago and went to Shook to book brunch for old time's sake. No go. The only free-flow Sunday Brunch I found was at the Four Seasons with an upsell to Prosecco. We were the only visible ones drinking and the food variety and atmosphere were both very dull. I hope that KL gets its mojo back and Shook resumes its legendary Champange Sunday Brunches.
