1. Has anyone actually received points without filing a missing point request when booking a bonus point rate?
2. Is there some special step that needs to be taken when checking into a hotel such as reminding them that this is a bonus point rate so that the hotel will give the points directly?
I rarely book rates that include bonus points, but the St. Regis DC had a 2000 point bonus on my corp rate a couple years ago, and those points posted.
But your post reminded me to look at other stays, and this year I had a night at the Frankfurt Airport Marriott that was supposed to include 2000 points, and a night at the Mayflower in DC last week that was supposed to include 3000 points -- and those didn't post! I just fired a note off to my Ambassador. Hopefully they will post. I totally would have forgotten about it, which is probably what most people do...
